Cycorder (Cydia) - still the best recording App, no native recording App for iPhone 2G *for now*

The Converter ($0.99 App Store) - Still my fav converter App, using it since FW 2.0. My main purpose was currency conversion but this App do conversion more than just currency, a lot of conversion, i think the most complete conversion App.

WARNING: Hah, this is all about the iPhone OS =) I’ve warned you LOL

Hello world, time to write some iPhone stuff. My iPhone, still the same = iPhone 2G 8Gb(officially in my hand on Mac 28, 2008) but still works flawlessly & love it. I just join the 3.1.2 legacy a couple days ago, starting to play around with it.

Before FW 3.2.1~
I was in the FW 2.2.1(the final 2.0 FW legacy before 3.0) for a very long time, ported to FW 3.0(3.0 released on June 17) just after the Dev-Team released the pwn/unlock tool for Windows user, redsn0w on June 20. MAC user enjoying unlock earlier with Pwnage Tool 3.0 at June 19, 2 days after 3.0 released. Yeah it is worth of waiting. On 3.0 was a great time, but lasted short, because 3.0.1 released after a days/week the 3.0 released, fixing the SMS vulnerability & more buggy stuff.

Once 3.0.1 released (Aug 1st), again I need to wait for the Dev Team, everyone in the world waiting whether it is safe to upgrade or not =) and yeah it is safe, woot. iPhone 2G pretty much safe for future FW because Apple can’t do anything to the hardware anymore and the Dev Team exploit tools usually taking control on the hardware part, BootNeuter =)

Jailbreaking/Unlocking 3.0.1 with redsn0w 0.8 is tricky, give a headache last time why I can’t unlock it (funny) - easy LOL trick I found when googling around, but if you don’t know it, you’ll be scratching your head & Google more =) The ‘trick’ was posted on the Dev Team blog - Recycling goodness

On 3.0.1 & the future… Owh wait!
On 3.0.1, my ‘testing App’ mode is ON. Incompatibility issues, waiting for the old time fav App ported to 3.0 legacy. I’m seriously testing Apps on 3.0.1 to be finalized until I heard 3.1 will come out. Damn, upgrading FW again! I hate upgrading in a short time, because of the waiting & Apps incompatibility issues.

3.1 FW released on Sept 9, in the Apple “It’s Only Rock and Roll, but we like it” special event but I’ve skipped this FW, not touch it & don’t care at all, lazy & tired of upgrading LOL and guess what 3.1.2 rumors flying around after that, heck upgrading again =) Pwnage Tool 3.1 (for MAC) released on Sept 16.

3.1.2 (7D11), future & I’ll stick with it for a while
3.1.2 FW released on Oct 8, excited as always. Again I am waiting for the proper jailbreaking/unlocking tools from the Dev-Team. geohot, iPhone hacker guy released a jailbreaking tool called blackra1n on Oct 11, still can’t unlock my iPhone 2G (waiting =) Pwnage Tool(v3.1.4) for FW 3.1.2 was released on Oct 13 (yay, happy but it is only for MAC user) This is when I’ve learnt how to used a custom FW (finally LOL), since current Pwn tool only for MAC user. Thanks for the custom FW provider, I’m on 3.1.2 now. Jailbreaking/unlocking tool for Windows will be released for sure, its a matter of time.

Warez Myths

This is a little information for all of the new people coming to the warez scene and people who have no knowledge of software. Many people post these items and in reality the majority of them do NOT even exist. They are terms, versions and advice that have been made up by others. If you check the commercial software websites you will find this to be true too. The terms on posts are misleading at times and many are down right untrue. Here are a few of them below. There are many more and this is just a sample of them. Always check the homepage of software makers and you will find the truth in this. If you have a question about a file make a post asking the uploader the question. Don’t be afraid to do it.

1. WinRAR Pro, Corporate, Full, Professional, Already Registered

These do not exist on the website and are precracked copies and should just be posted as such. WinRAR is either an evaluation copy or it is registered with a key file. Any uploads that do not have a key file in them for registering the software are precracked copies if they are already registered after installing them. WinRAR does NOT self register and you cannot find a self registered copy on the website for sale either.

2. Google Earth Pro-Gold Edition, Google Earth Gold

This does not exist on the website and the term was made up. Google does NOT sell a “Gold” edition of its software and never has.

3. Kaspersky, NOD32, BitDefender and other anti-viruses with huge amounts of “registered” time on them.

These are all cracked copies or they include the crack in the upload to crack them with. There are no registered copies of these that cover massive amounts of months or years in them. These require a key file or registration number in order to truthfully register them. Otherwise they are cracked.

4. DirectX 10 & 11 For XP

This is probably the biggest fake you will find posted. XP cannot and never has been able to run DirectX 10 or 11. Microsoft has stated officially that there will never be a version of these made for it either. The only ones that can run DirectX 10 or 11 is Windows Vista and Windows 7. This is nothing but a copy of version 9 that has been modded to say it is one of these versions. These have also been known to mess the DirectX up in a computer and make some games stop working. Avoid these and if you want the real DirectX versions go to Microsoft and get them from the downloads section. They are free too.

5. Versions of software that don’t exist on the homepages of the software for download.

Sometimes in rare cases there are versions posted that don’t appear on the official website. This is not the case with most though. On a lot of these posts listing a version that hasn’t came out yet it is a ploy to draw attention to the post for various reasons. They want to get file hosting points, views, replies to keep the post at the top of the list and the really dirty people do it because the file is infected and they want to infect you with it. Be wary of these posts.

6. Really small sized files for a program that does a lot.

Watch for these files. In the majority of them they are nothing more than an infected file posted as bait. A tiny 50kb file cannot be a program that does many things. Common sense should tell you that.

7. Crack Any Program, Keygen for Any Program

These are bogus too. There is no such crack or keygen that will work on any program made. It is impossible to make one too. A program may have some serials loaded into it but this is not what this is. The real software crackers will tell you this very same thing too. Many times these are bait for password stealing programs and other infections too.

Replies on posts:

Poster:
His files are safe because he’s been here since 2005 and has 25000 posts. The newbie only has 10 posts and this is an infected file.

Truth:
No amount of posts, title or time on any board means anything. Regardless of who posts the file it could be good or bad. Any member could possibly upload an infected file by accident or on purpose.

Downloader:
But my anti-virus deleted your file saying it had a trojan in it and I can’t download it.
Poster:
Turn your anti-virus off then download and install it. These are always seen as an infection by anti-viruses but really aren’t.

Truth:
You should never have to turn your anti-virus off to download or install a file. If you do this you are at risk of being infected. Sometimes a file will be a false positive but it is always better to do without something than to have your computer trashed. If you can’t afford to buy another one or have yours worked on keep this in mind.

Poster:
My program was scanned with XXX anti-virus and is guaranteed to be clean because it is the best one there is.

Truth:
There is no one antivirus that can detect all infections in a file. If that was the case there would only be one anti-virus in the world for sale and only one needed. An anti-virus will only detect an infection if the signature has been added to its signature database and is updated with it. If it isn’t in it then it can’t detect it no matter how good or bad it is. Scanning with one anti-virus is also not a promise that there isn’t an infection in a file either. Some infections are undetectable too by all anti-viruses. Using multiple anti-viruses to scan with isn’t a promise either but it is much better. Always scan your files at a service that does this before clicking on them. If you get over a 50% detection rate on a file don’t use it. This is a really good indicator that the file is probably infected. Here is a good one to use that will allow you to scan files up to 20MB in size.

Malaysia King of fruits but im not sure about this ‘Durian Merah’ :P All the way it’s Durian too :D I know Sabahan will know this local fruit, some called it Durian Hutan or Durian Monyet(?)

I can’t eat it raw(hehe), but once it’s already cooked, its delicious haha and magically i can eat it, woh!

Di Sabah durian ini juga dikenali sebagai durian dalit. Rasa durian ini tidak sama dengan durian yang biasa dan rasanya lebih lemak. Juga terdapat dalam warna kekuningan, keorenan dan merah jambu juga ada. Masyarakat Dayak Kenyah memanggilnya sebagai durian daun, mungkin disebabkan lebar daunnya hampir selebar telapak tangan orang dewasa.

Its PIKOM PC Fair mode, 1st day was over. Owh snap something in da house~ It supposed to be my brand new notebook, but i still love my old skool lappy :) So i’ll pass this to my younger sister or brother then :) My sis notebook got lower spec from my current lappy, now she’ll get a high spec than mine, har har har~ or my bro, which his current lappy was better than mine, now got another better brand new one!

I don’t need a brand new lappy :) Thats why i’ll pass this thing~ BUT if you tell me about iPhone 3GS or 4th Gen iPhone, hehe… Im not interested to any lappy since my current lappy kick-ass, but im more into mobile stuff now specifically iPhone and iPod Touch that used iPhone OS and interested into Android OS too! Im not looking at any devices that use Symbian, Windows Mobile and other OS, let this OS beat iPhone OS and Android OS 1st then i’ll respect and use it :)

My wish list:
* iPhone latest\up-to-date generation - currently: iPhone 3GS 32GB
* iPod Touch latest\up-to-date generation - currently: iPod Touch 2nd-Gen 32GB
* Any mobile that using Android OS - try, test, getting-to-know and play purpose :) - last time HTC Dream, well-known as T-Mobile G1. Currently: I’ve no idea what end user devices that use Android OS

Erm, teh spec :P If my sister use this, hmm… I don’t know if she’ll used it to the max. She is not into tech stuff lol~ and my bro, DoTA, DoTA and DoTA, thats all he know~

Haha, well what did i got for today :P No crowd at all, maybe all went crazy last night, so its easy for me today to setup this account. Another active account for me other than CIMB, Maybank and ASB. Owh yeah PayPal too LOL.

Heck the book so yellow~ Reminds me of course to DiGi, always the smarter choice. So who else got AS 1Malaysia? :P I hope the fund will be sold out soon so people will went crazy haha~

I just love both film, watched both Crows ZERO (2007) and Crows ZERO II (2009). Yakuza, gangster, alliance, diplomacy, pride, conquer, divide, fighting, kicking, blood, rock music, all high school student and all other stuff :) Owh no killing, no drugs, no sex, no xxx, no kissing, no gayish LOL… simply a gangster movie.
